The Master Guardian novels are set in modern day England and Japan.
Synopses: Master Shǒuwèi also known as Guardian, lives in Yorkshire England. He is the only Soul Drinker remaining in this realm and is the last hope of reclaiming a sacred sword from the other realm before a terrible tyrant known only as Murakami raises another army of mindless Vampires to stand against the gods to prevent an ancient prophecy from being fulfilled. With the help of his loyal companions Shǒuwèi hopes to retrieve the sword in time and defeat Murakami once and for all.
The side stories are set in ancient China, Japan, Korea and Greece and feature members Shǒuwèi's extended family.
